Rick-A-Nator

This popular fixed functional appliance can be worn with braces and is designed to move the lower jaw slightly forward and to correct deep overbites. Many patients, especially females over the age of 20 with deep overbites, will have TMJ (jaw joint) problems. The Rick-a-nator helps these patients by bringing the lower jaw forward and correcting the deep overbite.
Patient compliance is not a problem since the appliance is worn 24 hours per day. As you can see from the photos, the Rick-a-nator moved the lower jaw forward and corrected the deep overbite.
